GAFIRS is currently constructing a new primary rescue craft, the craft is a Halmatic Pacific 30, we purchased the Hull fitted with Castoldi water jets Several years ago with Gratefull thanks to Jim and Molly Newton a local couple who generously left a bequest to GAFIRS towards a new craft.

We have gradually progressed with the build, purchasing the engines, some of the electronics, and having the console, seats and engine box produced by local firms.

We have recently started with the fitting out of the under floor services, the fuel system and hydralic systems have been installed and the electrical circuits currently being fitted, this is a major step forward with much of the below deck work nearing completion.

We are currently looking for support towards the following items of equipment for the new craft

Navigation Systems - Chart Plotter, Radar, Sonar, GPS

VHF Direction Finding System

First Aid and Medical Equipment
