The 8 units of the SSRO Provide cover to a large area and some of the units also support the statutary emergency services with hampshire and futher afield.
Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue Service is the largest unit within the SSRO and provides 24 hour Pager Callout 365 days of the year, in addition to providing maritime rescue, the unit also offers inland rescue services - such as flood rescue, ice rescue, canoe safety teams and assistance during inclement weather to the emergency services .
Hamble Lifeboat are currently on restricted pager callout and limited to weekends and nightime.
Stanswood Rescue is a beach lifeguard unit that provides cover during the summer months in the stanswood bay area - they are not on pager call.
Solent Rescue are manned weekends and bankholidays; primarily during the summer season - they are not on pager call.
Portsea Rescue are manned weekends and weekdays during the summer period and weekends during the winter season. - they are not on pager call.
Freshwater Lifeboat are manned weekends and are on pager call.
Sandown and Shanklin are manned weekends and are on pager call.
